Police searching for Charleston man charged in shooting
SIKESTON -- Police are searching for a Charleston man charged in a shooting last month in Sikeston.
Deidrick L. "DD" Reed, 26, of Charleston has been charged for his alleged involvement in the Nov. 30 shooting at the Eagles Club in Sikeston, which left two people injured. The Scott County Prosecutor's Office charged Reed with the class "A" felony of first degree assault and armed criminal action, according to Capt. Jim McMillen, public information officer for Sikeston Department of Public Safety.
"This week detectives gathered enough evidence to obtain a warrant for the assault," McMillen said.
Reed is to be considered "armed and dangerous," McMillen said. Reed was seen with a firearm just prior to the Nov. 30 shooting.
"Anyone who comes into contact with Reed should use extreme caution and contact our department at 573-471-4711 or our CRIME STOPPERS Hotline at 573-471-1500," McMillen said.
