Where'd it go?

Saturday night we had this big rain in Morehouse. I'd like to know how they got rid of all this water. Most of it was gone by 11:20 at night. I'd like to have an answer.

According to the Net. . .

I heard something on the Internet that really tells it like it is. If you want to make a Conservative mad, tell them a lie. If you want to make a Liberal mad, tell them the truth.

Bad ads and neighbors

I'm very much so offended by the underwear commercial. It does have very bad sexual suggestions. This company should suffer punishments for this. It is terrible to see this on TV. Also, I live in Miner on Karen Street, and I've never lived in such an unfriendly neighborhood. There's only two people that are friendly to me. When I lived in Sikeston and Dexter, I lived in neighborhoods where people were friendly and helped each other. In this neighborhood, no one cares about anybody or does anything for anyone. It's the most terrible place I have ever lived in in my life. I hate living here. I think today in this society, people should help each other, but they only care about themselves. I think that people should care more about other people than themselves.

Way too high

Agree with "Playing to pay." Borrowing a phrase from Ross Perot, "Hear that swishing sound?" Our sound will be people moving out of Sikeston. The proposed tax increase is way too excessive. Many have a hard time paying them now, next to Scott County who has maintained property values did not decrease during the housing recession. I've heard several say that if this passes that they are out of here. Even renters will pay more because the landlords are not going to absorb this increase. Our population has decreased in the last two decades. Watch what happens next census if this tax passes it. Miner, Salcedo or any other small town need to start building new homes.
