East Prairie man charged with domestic assault

CHARLESTON - An East Prairie man was arrested over the weekend after deputies were called to his residence to investigate a domestic disturbance.

According to Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore, the call came in early Saturday morning and Deputy Mike Borders was dispatched to a domestic disturbance north of East Prairie.

Borders was joined at the scene by Deputy Marc Tragesser. Once the deputies gained entry into the victim's mobile home, they found her covered in blood.

The victim stated she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Christopher Wade Williams, 54. Deputies found Williams sitting in the living room watching television.
