A couple of thoughts

I'm talking about same sex marriages. I don't think they should be men to men or women to women. It should be women to men because that's the way God put it. I don't think there should be any other way. Have a good day and God bless you.

Right to wear white

This is to the lady that said white is not right for a wedding. If these people are going down the aisle, I think if she is happy and she paid for her gown, if she wants to wear white, it don't matter how many kids she has or how many husbands she had. If that's what she wants to do, and she's happy, it's nobody's business but hers. And for you to have your criticism, you maybe should keep it because we are up to date these days.

No cost to dress up

I read the article on your Project Runway. It's a very nice idea and wonderful setting. I would also like to remind all the ladies that there is a Project Prom that has been going on for several years. It's a non-fee dress opportunity for anyone needing a dress. Those that can't make it to the Runway or cannot find time to find a dress, they are always available at Project Prom. All you need to do is give us a call at 573-934-1667.

Head 'em up, move 'em out

I don't know what is happening to the government and the people in this world. They are taking away all our veterans' benefits. They have fought for our country and gave their lives and they are giving all the gays and the marijuana smokers the rights. That is not right. Something needs to be done. Our government needs to be brought down or moved out.

Get out of my space

Well people here we go again. I don't know if people don't understand what handicapped parking is or if they just don't care. I just think of all the revenue that the city of Sikeston would bring in if they just gave citations for people not handicapped that are parking in handicapped spaces. Most of these people parking in handicapped places are not handicapped. I sit and I have watched them. It is convenient for them to park in that handicapped spot. They jump out of the car and they go in the store, they come back out and they are just full of energy. They are not handicapped. If we don't speak up for these people that are handicapped in some form and these people need to speak up too. I wish our local police department would make it a point to give out citations to people parking in handicapped spaces. It really is bothering me. I'm sure it bothers other handicapped people. Please tell people again if you are not handicapped, have mercy on those people who are handicapped, respect those people and stay out of those spaces.

Explain those values

Mr. Editor, just what core values are you referring to in your March 2 editorial? I think you should list them and discuss them and not just give some vague reference to nobody knows what. I kind of doubt your core values match mine and in a free society everybody is entitled right to have their own view? Correct or not?

Praise for crossword

I am so sorry we no longer have a Tuesday paper but we will just have to adapt but we understand. But I want to say a very special thank you to whomever is responsible for changing the format of our crossword puzzle. Now I don't have to get my magnifying glass to work it. I thoroughly enjoy the new crossword puzzle size.
