BENTON -- Scott County will get another year of recycling.

The county was awarded a $10,000 recycling grant for another fiscal year from the Bootheel Solid Waste District.

The grant is to provide funding to recycle materials picked up from alongside roads and pulled out of ditches by the Scott County Highway Department, according to Willard Adams, regional planner for the Bootheel Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission at Dexter and secretary for the Bootheel Solid Waste District.
