East Prairie man faces assault, resisting arrest charges

CHARLESTON -- An East Prairie man facing felony assault and resisting arrest charges remains in the Mississippi County Detention Center awaiting a court appearance.

George E. Taylor Jr., 41, was charged April 28 with assault on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon, a class B felony; second degree domestic assault, a class C felony; and resisting arrest, a class D felony, according to a Friday news release from Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore.
