As of Wednesday, May 14, the last game the Portageville Bulldogs played was their conference title game last week. They were also to play a make-up game with Gideon, only to have a wash out.

They were supposed to play on Saturday, May 10, in Bloomfield against Kelly and Bloomfield, but it got rained out, according to Coach Wallace.

The last two days, Portageville was scheduled to play Dexter and on Tuesday, to play a make-up game at East Prairie only to have both rained out.

"If at all possible, we will try to get in one or two games before they enter into the Class 2A District tournament," said Wallace.

"We have the second seed, and are scheduled to play on Monday, May 19 at the second game time, at 6:30." Currently Portageville is 14-7 for the season.

The tournament will be held in Senath-Hornersville beginning this Saturday, May 17 with two games on tap beginning at 2 PM. The championship game will be held on Tuesday, May 20.

The other teams participating include: Senath-Hornersville, 1st seed; Campbell, 3rd seed; South Pemiscot, 4th seed; Holcomb, 5th seed; and Hayti, 6th seed.

The first game on Saturday is between Campbell (11-4) and Hayti (0-11) and the second game between South Pemiscot (8-7) and Holcomb (7-9-6).
