HB 1631 Passes- Taking control of Missouri's Energy Future

JEFFERSON CITY- This summer, it is widely expected that the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will release new standards regulating emissions from existing power plants. This ill-advised action by the Obama administration will likely threaten Missouri's dependable coal power plants. In response, the Missouri General Assembly has passed House Bill 1631 which would give Missouri greater authority to make regulatory decisions that are in the best interest of our state.
