Something stinks

Thanks to the writer of "The masters of the game," my thoughts exactly. Amendment Freedom to farm is not, repeat, is not for the busy farm families happily pictured In ads promoting the Farming amendment. It is for farm animal production factories banned in some states for ruining countrysides with enormous amounts of animal waste and excessive needs for water supplies not to mention odors pestering neighboring communities. Pass Freedom to Farm and you will find no protection from regulations or laws to place restrictions on that type of factory because such protection will thus be banned by your state constitution.

No Huggies for you

This is in regard to the person that put in there "Diapers and wipers." A lot of them people do not sit at home and expect you to furnish them with diapers and stuff. They work for minimum wage. If you would price diapers lately, you would find out that they are awfully expensive. So don't go judging people unless you've been in their shoes.

No need for speed

This is in response to the North Ingram speed limit and no parking signs. The Ingram 500 is still here alive and well. One dog killed in the last month, and now a little boy was hit and killed. This street, I've lived on it for 15 years, and they drive like it's nobody's business. There is no speed limit over here. The police don't run radar. It's a street that gets you out of town and I guess they just figure they can do what they want. We need somebody to get over here and slow them down, and we are still looking forward to getting our new no parking signs because they are still parking on the street. They have no parking signs at the rodeo grounds where nobody lives, but over here on North Ingram we do not have any no parking signs. We need them. Please help us.

Just the opposite

I just finished reading a letter to the editor regarding Amendment 7. When I first read it and picked up the paper the headline said Vote no on 7, which makes me think someone is suggesting we vote no on Amendment 7. But when you read on in the article, it is very clear that this person that wrote the letter is very much in favor for funding for the highway department through Amendment 7. I'm having a lot of difficulty understanding why the headline says Vote no on 7. A lot of people reading the paper will never get past that headline, and they will think vote no on 7. A little thought put into the headlines would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct, the headline was wrong. But with all due respect, if a person bases his vote on a headline without reading the article, then that is their mistake.
