Just an excuse to steal

I don't know what in the world a vigil in St. Louis for that teenager that got shot by the police had anything to do with them idiots vandalizing stores and stuff. They weren't holding a vigil or protest for that boy. They just wanted an excuse to steal. They oughta put their behinds in jail. That is ridiculous. Anything anybody does, they steal and loot when they get the chance and they give them an excuse for doing it. There is no excuse

Life crueler than death

In response to the story "Remember victims, not the murderers." This article is not anything new or insightful. We know why the death penalty exists, for crimes "so horrendous" that death seems to be the only "reasonable" punishment. You might say waiting 16 years on death row, not knowing if and when you're going to die is cruel and unusual punishment, as a California federal judge did a couple weeks ago. But, that's neither here nor there. No matter what side of the argument you come down on, it should be looked at from all sides. It's not as easy as saying 'She killed him now we kill her.' The big picture and problem in our country, pretty much the only first world country that still uses the death penalty, is that the death penalty is flawed. Innocent people have been put to death for crimes that were later discovered to be innocent. To believe in the death penalty is to know and be willing to sacrifice innocent people. The writer of the article is speaking as if all people convicted are convicted correctly. This is not the case. As the writer put so perfectly, we're talking about a human life, and I, as well as most opponents of the death penalty, am not willing to kill any innocent people in the name of killing the guilty. Our death penalty does just that.

Seeing double

Hello, I was just watching TV and is it my imagination or is there a big resemblance in what is going on in Iraq and the Middle East and for instance, Ferguson, Mo.? Is that my imagination or is there some resemblance there?
