Clean it yourself

I would like to say something about the in-home health care that is usually paid for by Medicaid. The people that really, really need it can't get it, and the ones that do are just laying on the couch not doing anything. They are up running all over town. That's not right. I used to work in that and that's why I got out. You go over to the house and there sits 10 lazy people not doing anything and the government paying somebody to clean their house. Let the kinfolks that are there clean the house. If they can run all over Walmart and every place else, they could do their own housework. It might take them a little while, but they could do it.

We must unite

General Stonewall Jackson, the South's greatest Confederate leader, was accidentally shot June 2, 1863, two days after a national day of prayer and fasting. His death gave the Union forces an advantage, so they won at the Battle of Gettysburg where 50,000 died. Lincoln had been concerned at 10-15,000 dying a day in battles. Consider these losses in comparison to our current battles. It is interesting to note that Stonewall Jackson till his death had taught classes of slaves to read, write and study the Bible so they could prosper on their own. His will left everything to that endeavor. Our textbooks and media's racial rousers are ignoring the good in our forefathers and our history. After 1863, our nation remained intact as one people. So many died to protect their homes and freedom. Today Americans selfishly cringe at protecting Christian people of the world from ISIS, unwilling to make the sacrifices to preserve Christianity and freedom. We have hesitated while millions have become refugees, losing everything, and hundreds of thousands slaughtered. Our sports, busy lives and racial and political correctness controversies have diverted our focus. Christians have been the source of the world's hospitals, schools, humanitarian aide and inventions to improve the lives of the less fortunate of the world. Our armies have fought against evil from the Muslim barbary pirates in the 1700's and through World War I, II and on. We must unite and stop the spread of the most evil army in history. It's almost too late. They've had over two dozen training camps in the U.S. for years. Our President, raised as a Muslim, can not bring himself to fight them, and must be replaced along with 35 czars.

Sikeston proud

I'm reading the Wednesday edition about where there was a guy in house and there was a standoff. When the police got there, they were yelling back and forth and they didn't go in and he wouldn't come out for an hour and a half. It's ridiculous. If that would've been our police officers, that would have ended totally different. I think we have the best police officers between here and heaven. They are doing a good job and they do not tolerate stuff like that. They would've handled that situation totally different and more professionally. I'm not saying their officers didn't do their best, but our officers are just trained so good for stuff like that and they really get the job done. If you ever need any help, call the Sikeston Police Department because they are the best.

Verdict already decided

I just read an article about the murder in Ferguson and if it will be race-based justice. Personally, I think it has already been decided and that cop will be found guilty whether he is or not. Obama and Eric Holder should have kept their noses out of it because they are just contributing to the problems. I don't think the cop will get off, maybe not to prison, but he will be sentenced.

More bang for the buck

The reason the LPNs and the RNs make more money is because they spend a lot of money to go to school to do it.
