See no evil

What has happened to the small government in the small town and Christianity when things can be stolen from the house, and the law watches and nothing is done about it?

A parade-hater

This is to the town of East Prairie on their homecoming parade. As I am coming into town Washington Street is blocked by the police department, approximately about 3:25. I'm needing to get into town to purchase some batteries. You go down to Garfield Street, they've got it blocked. You cannot get in to go to Auto, Tire and Parts so we go to Slushers to buy batteries. You cannot get through the town without running into road blocks. The policemen are standing there in town blocking where you can't get into the gas station to get gas, so we have to go elsewhere to buy your gas. You simply cannot get around this town when they have their silly parades. We have no protection from the police department because they are traffic controlling. Our rural firetruck is tied up with all the football players and coaches on it. The county taxpayers are the ones paying for that firetruck, yet they are using it in the city of East Prairie to ride the football players through town. I wonder what would happen if we had a fire in the country. I guess that person would lose their property because it is tied up in the parade. Our chief of police is leading the parade with his sirens blaring that you can hear all over town. Another fine example why we have to go out of East Prairie to do our business because of things like that.
