I am looking for someone from Sikeston that goes to Cape Girardeau weekly and goes close to the Lutheran Home on Bloomfield Road. I have relatives there and I can't get there on a regular basis. Friday night about 8:30, there's been a helicopter flying overhead for about an hour now. I'm guessing it's a med evac helicopter for the football game. If it is, I wonder how much that is costing us, especially considering that the school system can't get our buildings fixed.

Give us the name

As I read Sunday's Standard, the story about the alarm company scam, I kept waiting to see the name of the alarm company. Nowhere did you list it. Then I go to the editorial page, and it's not listed in the editorial. If you would tell us who this alarm company is, we would surely not buy from them. But now we have to suspect any alarm company in town is dishonest. C'mon, give us the facts please.
