Two arrested for drugs, receiving stolen property

BENTON - A search for stolen property also uncovered drug paraphernalia at the home of a Benton area couple.

Kenneth D. Blankenship, 50, and Bobbie Wipfler, 36, are each charged with the felonies of possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property and the misdemeanor of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Blankenship is also charged with the felony of unlawful possession of a firearm,

According to Sheriff Rick Walter Sheriff, during a separate, unrelated investigation, Senior Deputy Matt Scroggins and Deputy Danny Finley uncovered information that Blankenship was involved in this criminal activity. The deputies followed leads and conducted independent interviews to obtain the information for a search warrant.
