Outstanding Students are selected each quarter at Matthews Elementary in Matthews based on classroom participation, effort and citizenship. Students selected for the second quarter were: pre-kindergarten, Amber Holland (not pictured) and Madelyn Ruedrich; kindergarten, Addisyn Holifield and Tyler Trapp; first grade, Breanna Patrick and Aubrey Pullen; second grade, Calleigh Cooksey and Brody Teague; third grade, Aubrey Mitzlaff and Chloe Polk; fourth grade, Josh Robinson and Carly Gremard; and fifth grade, Christa Ross and Avery Mitzlaff.
