Bigger would be better

I was wanting to know when they print telephone books, why can't they print writing a little bit larger for old people who cannot see? Are they afraid to use paper? Please respond.

All you gotta do is call

This is for the person who called to complain that they did not get a free plate of food for Thanksgiving or Christmas. On the last Thanksgiving Day, 460 meals were delivered by volunteers to people in the Sikeston community that needed a dinner. The VFW graciously provided the use of their halls to prepare this meal, however, it is truly a community meal. All the food is donated by individuals and organizations within the Sikeston community. All labor is provided by volunteers. Two phone numbers were printed in the Sikeston Standard Democrat multiple items. All anyone has to do to get a meal on Thanksgiving Day is call one of those numbers before 6 p.m. the day before Thanksgiving and leave your name, address and phone number. These meals are provided only on Thanksgiving Day and not on Christmas.
