Not the way God works

In response to these hunger preachers, I agree with the lady or gentleman about the money-hungry preachers. You do have some that don't beg for money and tell you that if you'll send them so much that the Lord will bless you with a new car or house. The Lord don't work that way. I support a ministry every month besides my church tithes, and they don't feed you that bull. They'll tell you when you support the Lord's work, he'll bless you in ways you can't even imagine. I love the story in the Bible about the poor widow woman who gave all that she had. And you had these rich Pharisees, they wanted to be seen of man what they had given. The Lord knows our hears. He knows what we can give. Thank you and God bless.

Take care of yourself

This is to the person on Welfare who wants to know what she can do about her rent and her groceries and her child support and crap like that. You get a job like everybody else. You clock in and you clock out, you pay your own bills. You have your own insurance. It's called taking care of yourself.

What, no women?!

I'm reading about where it shows the rodeo people for this year and it shows no women. You couldn't find no women for entertainment?

For or against?

Just read your recent story on candidates for the school board election. Also read a speakout about candidates that don't reveal their position on Common Core curriculum. Well, that's all fine and good. But when will your newspaper ask the school board candidates specific questions on their position on another $31 million property tax vote? That's paramount. The ones for the $31 million property tax vote are not welcome.
