Let me explain

Dear blonde-headed lady driving a white vehicle, this is an honest and sincere apology to you. Monday April 6, around 11:30 a.m., Rodgers Street was congested because vehicles were parked on the side of the street. I was going south. You were going north. There was a stray black dog in front of my car. I honked at the dog a lot, hoping to scare it off the street and out of harm's way. It occurred to me that other drivers might think me obnoxious so I rolled down my window. We were driving past one another at that moment. In response, you rolled down your window and smiled so nicely. I hollered, "dog" and pointed ahead of me, toward the front of my car. It occurred to me that you may not have seen me pointing. (It was cloudy and raining a lot.) You may have only heard the word "dog." Rest assured I was not calling you a dog or anything bad like that. I do not know who you are or I would have called you on the phone that very second to explain, believe me. Nice, lady, I am so very sorry if I hurt your feelings and insulted your dignity. I was not at all intending that to happen. Sorry.

Doesn't look safe to me

Looks like the East Prairie School District has got us again. We voted for them to build a safe room so the kids and the general public could go there in case of a tornado. We were led to believe it would be underground (as a storm shelter should be). Well, a monstrosity sits now right next to the road about 40-foot high. Since it is the highest building around it will be the first to go if a tornado does happen, not to mention the bricks all falling in on you. I have a feeling that by the time school starts again it will be announced they have decided this will not be a safe room but will be used for whatever they planned in the first place.
