SIKESTON - The stage of the Sikeston Little Theatre will light up Saturday night for a performance by an a cappella quartet blending music and comedy. Appropriately named Blend, the group's performance will begin at 7 p.m. at the Albritton Theater, 506 S. Kingshighway.

Teresa Braden, a SLT a board member, said while Blend has performed during the busy Christmas season in Sikeston, the Board wanted to bring them back in the spring in hopes of introducing more area residents to the group and "to pack the house" on Saturday night.

"We know how wonderful they are," she said. "They are just amazing. We hope to fill the seats."

Blend, which includes Johnathan Estes, Adrian Fox, Nik Berry and Aaron Chamness, sings the "doo wop" music from the 1950s and '60s and even some of the more current music mixing their songs with fun, according to Braden. She added their interaction with the public makes it fun to be a part of the audience.

"It is kind of neat to see a younger generation do the music from the '50s and '60s," Braden said. "It is not dead at all. People are still enjoying it and having fun with it."
