Junk around the Castle

How can the city of Sikeston let someone put in an automobile junk yard along with makeshift buildings across the street from the Cream Castle? I am sure there are ordinances against both. Where are the code enforcement people? What happened to the beautification of the city campaign?

Can't we all work together?

Hello America, hello Missouri. I am a resident of Miner and have been here for 20-something years and had no problems. But the board, they are trying to stonewall the town. They don't want to have meetings. So what, the mayor has his issues, so does the board. It's time to get rid of the whole bunch of you evidently. You don't show up for meetings unless you want to build more storage sheds around here. C'mon, work together if it's possible, because your egos and trailer courts and trashed out over there, you don't worry about it. Take care of the town. We don't care about you and your personal properties. We care about making Miner a better place to live and not letting your ego override your commonsense.

Simply marvelous

I'd like to speakout about the new yogurt place in town behind Arby's. It is wonderful to be able to got into a business that is clean and people are so polite there. I took my grandkids there and they had a wonderful time. I don't know who hires these kids, but they ought to be commended. Thank you so much for bringing it to Sikeston.
