School supplies, backpacks, haircuts and much more to be given at event

During the event up to 1,000 area school children can receive free school supplies along with haircuts and various checkups. SIKESTON - Armed with a new backpack full of supplies and the confidence that they are ready for school can make the first day of class a good day for boys and girls.

Organizers of Schoolfest 2015 intend to make that first day of school even better for at least 1,000 Southeast Missouri children.
