You made my day

I read the July 12 SpeakOut article, "Go ahead, make my day." At first I thought it was just another kook who has no sense of history or any commonsense, for that matter. But the further I read into the article, I became convinced it was merely a comedy piece to relieve some of the tension that has been building up in our nation due to any number of reasons. Why did I think it was a comedy piece - simple. No human being with enough brain energy could generate the power to walk, much less speak, could actually believe the tripe presented in the article. Therefore, it has to be a comical submission or a highly exaggerated parody of the mindset of the west coast population. Either case, it was ingenious. I haven't stopped laughing. Thank you SpeakOut for making my day.

You oughta be ashamed

I've contacted everyone that I can contact in regard to a dog that is being kept in a chainlink enclosure in Salcedo with absolutely no shade in this 100 degree plus index weather. The dog is still in this situation. I see it when I drive by. If the owners of this suffering creature read this, please get out there where your pet is and stand there for just five minutes in the afternoon sun. I don't think you'll be able to do it.

Just a good ol' boy

I saw in SpeakOut where Johnson's Food Mart made Fourth of July special for a lot of people. Johnson's Food Mart makes a lot of things special. He delivers groceries. He's a very nice, good person. All his employees go out of their way to help you. It's just a good place. He tries to give you good bargains, treats everybody right. Kenny is just a good guy.

Resting in peace

I wanted to express my thankfulness to the ones taking care of the Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery. My parents are over there and I couldn't have picked a better place. It is kept up so nicely.

Trump is a moron

I'm just speaking out, not using foul language on purpose, on Donald Trump. Donald Trump is a moron that shouldn't be allowed in the human race. Anybody who would talk about a person like John McCain is not very smart. And all you Republicans remember when you go to the polls, don't vote for Donald. Vote for someone that has a little more sense than him. He does not have any brains at all, and if he does, they are probably in the heels of his shoes. John McCain was captured because he was a pilot and they shot him down. That happens whenever you fly an aircraft. He didn't just walk in and say, 'Here I am, put me in the penitentiary and keep me in one of the worst places you have,' during the war.

Thanks for telling it like it is

I appreciate your editorial so much. I agree with you 100 percent and admire you for speaking the truth. Keep up the good work! Our elected representatives (whom we trusted) are doing nothing except getting paid. So it is left up to us an ordinary individuals to step up to the plate.
