If it ain't broke, don't fix it

This is just a thought. Have you ever noticed that most problems don't exist until a government agency is formed to solve them?

Just call Betty

I read the article about Mississippi County being rejected for their road construction by the federal government. But no mention was made of hiring Betty Hearnes to call the White House for help. She would be the person to contact. They don't really need to spend money on a lawyer. I just wanted to pass that suggestion on to the folks.

Choo-choo

I'd like to speakout about the transit transportation we have here in town. I think it would be a good idea if we could have a train system and get from one destination to another. It would really be neat to ride on a train to get to another city or destination.

Sikeston needs a boost

There's nothing to do here in Sikeston. There's nothing for our youth to get into. There's no boys or girls club. There's no type of activity for them as far as a water park or a petting zoo or anything like that. I think that plays a big part in why our population keeps dropping as well. I'd also like to add that if the city would get things like that, you would see a boost in our population like Cape and Poplar Bluff. It's just a shame that our city officials don't want those types of things here to improve the city. I think that's why we have such a hard time keeping people here to shop as well, when there's hardly any businesses her to attract shoppers to shop in the area. I know there are a lot of people that travel from here to shop at Cape and that's a big, big problem for Sikeston. We need to rethink about having a mall like we used to have. We do have an outlet mall. We should have as much as Cape. I know they are a college town, but Sikeston needs to get it together for shopping, sporting events, etc. There's just nothing to do here and that's causing problems with out population. How can we boost our population and get people to shop here in town?

The list is long, but start with the YMCA. You'll find plenty of activities year-round for kids.

Two Bush's were enough

We don't need another Bush. I don't like what he stands for. He would like to cut out everything for the older people, healthcare, Medicare and Medicaid. What would he live on if he didn't have money? We don't need him. We don't need another war. All these people that ran before, we didn't want them then and we don't want them now. Why are they running again and wasting everybody's time?

Just to be clear, we're no great fans of Jeb Bush but he has said none of the things you noted.
