Show some respect

When I was growing up I was taught that if I needed help and saw a policeman, to go to them for help. You looked up to them as protectors, as someone who stood up for right against wrong. When did that thinking change and why? I'm not saying that every law enforcement person is perfect, but nobody else is either. They put their lives on the line every single day that they go to work. It's not a job that most of us would want to take upon ourselves. And they do it for us, for you and for me. For our families. These people shooting and killing our policemen are going to change America as we know it. If it doesn't stop, we are not going to have anyone to protect us. Our freedom will disappear and we will be scared to walk out our front doors. This country better get the respect back where it belongs. Not for the twerking rock stars, the football players that beat up their wives, the politician having affairs or the CEOs taking kick-backs. We better respect the people who are watching out for us. If you see a law enforcement officer, go up and thank him for his service. Thank him for being able to shut your eyes and go to sleep at night while he's out patrolling your neighborhood. God knows what this world would be like without them. I don't want to find out, do you?

The West of the story

Kanye West for president, 2020. What a joke! What an ego! When I was a young man, if someone ran for office and only received a token amount of votes, we would laugh and say, "With Kanye West for president, 2020. What a joke! What an ego! When I was a young man, if someone ran for office and only received a token amount of votes, we would laugh and say, "With no more friends than that, he should carry a gun." So after Kanye West runs for President, he will have to carry more guns, because I'm sure he's already carrying one gun.
