SIKESTON -- A donation of road material to Scott County will mean a quicker cleanup of a business site in Sikeston's TIF District.

Nova Brick of MidAmerica has been donating old concrete brick inventory and concrete rubble to Scott County for for some time.

But as Skip Crumpecker, president and principle owner of Nova Brick of MidAmerica, is looking to speed up the cleanup process of the closed business site -- the plant is located in Sikeston's 60 West Tax Increment Financing District -- the county will be receiving even more useful material from the site along with the fill.

"I hope to have everything done by winter," Crumpecker said. "The property is for sale. I already sold off most of the machinery. But we have some raw materials left -- cement, gravel and sand -- and I offered to donate that to the county, too."
