Clean it up

There is a house on North Sixth street with four junk trucks, two or three boats, appliances and other junk in his yard. He also has an old cargo trailer in his yard and another neighbor was told he couldn't use one for a storage shed. Also on the corner of Fifth and Hart, there is a shed in the front yard right on the corner. Please help us get this mess cleaned up.

Extreme makeover

It was with fear and trembling we went to Garden of Memories Cemetery to put fall flowers on our family's graves. The last time we were there the conditions were deplorable. All of the markers on the far east side were covered with dead grass. The grass had been quite tall before they went and knocked it over. Without exaggeration in some areas the mowed dead grass could have been bailed. They had used Round Up about 12 inches all around the markers and killed out what they couldn't get with the mower. This left dead crab grass blanketing the markers. Some of the markers were sinking on one side. There were small sink holes by them. I was afraid to look in, afraid I'd see the caskets. The workers have had no cost for the price of the markers that have had the vases broken off, damage from the blades of the mowers. A person called in a few weeks ago and said the persons that were complaining should bring in a broom and clean it themselves. Well, we do. We bring brooms, glass cleaner, pruning shears, paper towels and trash bags to haul off all of the trash. I think that person that made those asinine remarks should go back to the job they had before they went to work at the graveyards. With this said, I would like to compliment whomever was responsible for the miraculous cleanup lately. It looks as though it is now going in the right direction. So thank you for whomever was responsible for the extreme makeover. The cemetery looked very, very nice. Thank you and bless you.
