Thank the men in blue

I am a citizen of Sikeston and would like our police officers and firemen to know how thankful I am for their service. I would hate to see what condition this town would be in without them. It is truly a selfless sacrifice they make, putting their lives on the line everyday to protect us. We should all be grateful and appreciative for their service. Next time you see one of our public servants, go up and shake their hand and thank them for all they do. Point them out to your young children and tell them that these are the good guys. I have actually witnessed a parent tell their child, "There's a policeman. If you don't behave, I'm gonna have him put you in jail." Not the way to teach your children. Children should never be raised to be afraid of them, but to honor, respect and know this is a person who can help me when I need it. I, for one, thank God every day that I am being watched over by some of the finest.

Wheelie?

I am very appreciate of the health department. I'm an elderly handicapped woman and I was wondering why they cannot get a wheelchair to help people in to get their shots and medicine.
