Portageville Bulldogs enter into Bootheel Conference action

The Portageville Bulldogs, (7-12) played Caruthersville Tuesday night the in Bootheel Conference Tournament. Results not available by press time. The tournament is being played in Hayti.

In last week's games, Portageville won two of three games prior to going into the conference tournament.

Last Tuesday, Portageville defeated North Pemiscot, 54-42.

Three players scored in double digits for the win. Chris Garmon led with 16 points, Tanner Staffey 11, and Ian Torrey scored 10. Torrey had eight rebounds.

On Friday, the Bulldogs traveled to Clarkton and won,71-46.

Garmon led with 24 point for the win. Ian Torrey scored 21 points. Torrey hauled down 11 rebounds Staffey and Luke Darst each scored one 3-pointer.

Finally, on Saturday, Portageville hosted Malden in a make up game, but lost 42-63.

Again, Garmon led the Bulldog pack with 17 points and with 9 rebounds. Tony Smith scored 9 points. Torrey and Darst scored 7 points each with one 3-pointer.

The next home game will be Friday, Feb. 12 against Charleston.
