Their rights are wrong

Mike, I was reading your article about illegal immigrants. I disagree with a lot of your articles, but this article here is 100 percent right. It's a shame. Here we go again, I had my aunt at the doctor's office and an illegal immigrant came in. They couldn't fill out the paperwork or nothing. The receptionist had to ask him questions and he shook his head yes or no. He pulled out his red, white and blue Medicaid card. The whites don't have any rights no more. We are discriminated against. We ask for help and it's discrimination. But the illegal immigrants can get anything they want. As a citizen, I'm getting tired of paying their way. I'd rather pay for a white or black United States citizen's way than an illegal immigrant. When are we gonna put a stop to this? I'm sick of it. I'm so *&%# sick of paying their way. They've got more rights than we have.

Education cost going up

I just saw the dumbest thing on the news on the television. They are raising the tuition at SIU College because they don't have the money and all that stuff. Then about three minutes later they said they were raising all the teachers and officials pay. If they don't have the money and have to raise the kids' tuition, why in the devil do they give the teachers more money? That's usually the way it goes. The people that are in authority always get more money, get raises and stuff no matter if anyone else loses their jobs or has to drop out of college or what. That don't make any sense whatsoever. Just plain stupid.

Matthews Street is looking bad

People on East Matthews Street, from the 1500 to the 1600 block, would love to see code enforcement stop and cite some of these homes that are keeping their yards all trashed up. Some of us like to keep our property up and it's really sad what's happened to this street. I have seen a code enforcement truck go down this street, but they've never done anything. We on Matthews Street would really appreciate something being done about this.
