House Bill 1993, as amended, emerges from House committee

The Missouri House Civil and Criminal Proceedings Committee voted 7-1, do pass, in favor of Sunshine legislation, House Bill 1993, today in Jefferson City.
Sponsored by Rep. Robert Cornejo (R-St. Peters), the bill is an amended version of his original bill.

The Missouri Press Association thanks Rep. Cornejo and committee chairman, Rep. Joe Don McGaugh (R-Carrollton), for their support in moving the legislation. Voting in favor of the bill in committee were Reps. McGaugh, Rob Vescovo (R-Arnold), Cornejo, Nick Marshall (R-Parkville), Kevin Corlew (R-Kansas City), Andrew McDaniel (R-Deering) and Gina Mitten (D-St. Louis). 

Voting against the bill was Rep. Kimberly Gardner (D-St. Louis).

House Bill 1993, as amended in committee, would make the following Sunshine Law changes in Chapter 610, Missouri Revised Statutes:
