STEELE, Mo. - A driver who fled a traffic stop is in custody and facing drug charges.

Jimmy David McVay, 32, of Steele is charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, felonious restraint and tampering with physical evidence. He is being held at the Pemiscot County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 bond.

On Tuesday, Steele Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield initiated a traffic stop on South First Street of a vehicle driven McVay and also occupied by a 34-year-old woman.
