Bootheel Conference volleyball awards released

Portageville's Adrienne Duncan has been selected Bootheel Conference Player of the Year. Duncan averaged 4.5 kills and 7.4 digs per set her senior season. She had a 95.6 percent serving percentage.

Portageville's Adrienne Duncan has been selected Bootheel Conference Player of the Year. Duncan averaged 4.5 kills and 7.4 digs per set her senior season. She had a 95.6 percent serving percentage.

"Adrienne has been a standout player her entire career and she will be missed on our team in the future," Portageville coach Barry Branscum said. "There were several great players in our conference this year, and one being her fellow teammate Kelsi Jones, who had very similar statistics and has also been a standout player on our team the past four years."

Malden's Brittany Crane has been selected Bootheel Conference Coach of the Year. Malden finished with a record of 19-9-1 and won the regular season and tournament titles in the Bootheel Conference in Crane's first year as head coach.

Portageville's Kelsi Jones, Malden's Lexi Campbell, Senath-Hornersville's Maggie Crossno, Malden's Gracie Thomas, Portageville's Dasmine Johnson, South Pemiscot's Tia Spears, Caruthersville's Hannah Vaughn, Campbell's Claire Parker, Hayti's Asia Burden, Malden's Madi Earnheart, Senath-Hornersville's Emilee Newman, Senath-Hornersville's Madison Shrum, Campbell's Emily Peters and Malden's Allison Hampton were selected to the varsity all-conference team.

Malden's Tanner Miller, Caruthersville's Keara Johnson, South Pemiscot's Damaris Farmer, Senath-Hornersville's Aubry Jones, Campbell's Delaney Weeks, Malden's Hannah Brown, Portageville's Maggie Frakes, Hayti's Macen McKay, Caruthersville's Hannah Coleman, Malden's Anna Belcher, Senath-Hornersville's Natalie Vilchis, Caruthersville's Maria Ibarra, Malden's Mackenzie Minniefield and South Pemiscot's Sarah Eddleman were selected to the junior varsity all-conference team.
