Sikeston track team finishes with two all-staters, East Prairie's Williams grabs another top-8 finish

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- After qualifying for the finals on Friday, Sikeston sophomore Elijah Faulkner guaranteed the Bulldogs their second all-state finisher during the final day of the Class 4 Track and Field state championship meet held in Jefferson City, Mo.

Faulkner took seventh during the 110 hurdles finals on Saturday posting a time of 15.07.

The top-8 finishers in each event are considered all-state athletes.

Also on Saturday, senior Phayzun Fobbs finished 14th in the triple jump after a leap of 42-2 1/2.

Dexter junior Hannah Moore finished 15th in the long jump posting a leap of 14-4.

Class 3

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- East Prairie freshman thrower Makenzie Williams had a second all-state finish on Saturday during Day 2 of the Class 3 Track and Field state championship meet in Jefferson City, Mo.

Williams finished eighth in the shot put after a throw of 36-9 1/2. This was a day after Williams took fifth in the discus.
