SIKESTON -- A Sikeston woman has been arrested after a disturbance that left two juveniles struck by a vehicle.
According to Sikeston Department of Public Safety Sgt. Jon Broom, on Tuesday at around 5:18 p.m., DPS officers responded to the 400 block of John R Blvd in reference to a disturbance.
Upon arrival officers learned a group of people parked in their vehicle were approached by another group carrying bats on foot. As they tried to drive away a female identified as; Roshanna R. As the driver drove away a second person broke the passenger side window out. The driver reported that they "put their heads down and drove south."
As the driver traveled south on John R. Blvd. his vehicle struck two juveniles watching the disturbance. The driver of the vehicle said he had no idea he had struck anyone with his vehicle since he couldn't see.
The first juvenile struck by the vehicle had moderate injuries and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The second juvenile has more serious injuries and was flown to Children's Hospital in St. Louis. Both are expected to recover from their injuries.
The driver in this case was not arrested, however, Isom was arrested by officers and the case is still under investigation.
