Heart to Heart International USA opens office in Charleston
CHARLESTON, Mo. -- A private reception was held on Tuesday to commemorate the opening of Heart to Heart International's new office location at 801 E. Marshall St. in Charleston.
"For the past two years or so, we have worked with key partners and local leaders to explore innovative approaches to improve health for residents of the Bootheel," Janice Ballard, executive director, Heart to Heart International – USA, said. "The purpose of this event is to renew and expand our partnership with local leaders and share opportunities for meaningful community engagement."
Meaningful community level interaction is imperative for community-led change, and the Health in the Heartland initiative focuses on sustainable, innovative solutions driven by input from the community on its own priorities and needs.
"This growing network of community partners is working toward one goal - to improve health and well-being for the people we are called to serve. Heart to Heart International-USA is honored to be a part of this Bootheel community," Ballard said.
Another reception for the Dunklin and Pemiscot County area office was held at the Drury Inn in Hayti, Mo. Jim Mitchum, CEO of Heart to Heart International, was in attendance at both receptions in support of Heart to Heart International – USA's continuing work and partnerships in the Bootheel.
