JACKSON, Mo. -- Emily Strobel and Matthew Kennard were united in marriage during an Oct. 22, 2016, ceremony at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. Tom Sullenger, pastor, officiated.

Parents of the bride are Shane and Debbie Strobel of Sikeston, and parents of the groom are Chris and Rick Kennard of Jackson.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless, trumpeted, full-length white gown featured with beading and a sweetheart neckline.

Stephanie Hill of Benton served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Ervin of Oran, Tasha Kirk of Blodgett, Laura Alexander of Sikeston, Heather Wilson and Angela Dambach of Benton and Chrissy Miller of Morley.

Kinsley Kennard, daughter of the couple, served as flower girl.

Greg Kennard of Cape Girardeau served as best man. Groomsmen were Nick Kapfer, Justin McMullen, Shawn Carey and Jake Culver of Cape Girardeau, Cory Elfrink of Columbia and Cameron Perry of Jackson.

A reception followed at the Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Following a honeymoon to San Diego and Las Vegas, the new Mr. and Mrs. Kennard are making their home in Jackson.
