SIKESTON -- Margaret Rose Durante and Thomas Austin Marshall II exchanged vows on June 4, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Potomac, Md. The nuptial wedding was celebrated by Monsignor John Enzler. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Durante of Potomac. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Young of Montgomery Village, Md., and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Durante of Bethesda, Md. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Marshall of Sikeston. He is the grandson of Mrs. Delores Moll of Sikeston and the late Ray Moll and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Marshall of Sikeston and the late Phyllis Marshall. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a mermaid-style gown with an illusion neckline. The custom gown was made by designer Olia Zavozina of Nashville. The bride's bouquet was a lush textured bouquet of peonies, rose, dusty miller, sprigs of lavender and other seasonal blooms in shades of crème and blush finished with a lace ribbon. Claire Durante McBrien of Bethesda, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Theresa Durante of Potomac, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Catherine Marshall Laningham of Houston, Texas, sister of the groom, Sarah Florman of Raina Gir, Natalie Hoffman, Hannah Montgomery, all of Nashville, Tenn., Kelsey Glading of Bethesda, Jacqueline Greeves of New York, N.Y., Alicia Migliorini of Fort Myers, Fla., and Katie Ondeck of Potomac. The bridesmaids wore floor-length Amsale chiffon gowns in a variety of pastels. The flower girl was Alexandra McBrien, niece of the bride, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott McBrien. John Fuchs of Little Rock, Ark., served as best man. Groomsmen were Jake Curtis of St. Louis, John Launius of Louisville, Ky., Will Guest of Oxford, Miss., Adam Hahs of Chandler, Ariz., Andrew Odom and Jeremy Tharp of Nashville, Matthew Bain, Ben McMullin and Scott Ralph, all of Sikeston and Dallas Davidson of Franklin, Tenn. Ring bearer was Dallas Davidson Jr., and son of Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Davidson. Ushers were John Laningham, brother-in-law of the groom, of Houston, Texas, Scott McBrien of Rockville, Md., brother-in-law of the bride, Will Pierce of Bethesda and Jack Zimmerman of Washington, D.C. Scripture Readings were given by Tom Natelli of Potomac and Natalia Davidson of Franklin. Prayers of the Faithful were given by Garth Fuchs of Sikeston and Willie Morrison of Nashville. Gifts were presented by Lizzie and Charlie Baggett of Potomac, cousins of the bride. Music for the ceremony was provided by vocalists Natalie Hoffman and Becky Keteltas, organist Heather Adelsberger, guitarists Nick Hoffman and violinist Natalie Hoffman. Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda. Cocktails were served on the grand veranda at Congressional while wait staff passed hors d'oeuvres, including Caprese skewers with basil, sea salt and olive oil, Arancini pesto cream, bacon-wrapped sea scallops, crispy coconut chicken lollipops, spicy plum sauce and crabmeat balls with cocktail sauce. A sit-down dinner of filet of beef tenderloin and crab cakes was served in the ballroom. The tables were adorned with tall, thin glass candelabras crowned with peony, roses, dusty miller, lavender and trailing jasmine vine and finished with silver mercury glass votives. The four-tiered, white wedding cake with fresh strawberry filling and buttercream icing was adorned with "M&A," the initials of the bride and groom. Music was provided by the nine-member band, Escapade. The bride and groom entertained their guests when they sang "River Road" and their talented musical guests then played and sang backup with Maggie as Austin sang, "With a Little Help From My Friends." A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom's parents on Friday evening at The Capitol View at 400 in Washington, D.C. The guests enjoyed the rooftop views of the U.S. Capitol, The Washington Monument and Union Station. Two engagement parties were hosted by the couple's friends. The first was in Nashville on May 13, 2015, at East Ivy Mansion. On Dec. 19, 2015, an engagement party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Natelli in Potomac. A cocktail buffet celebrating the couple's wedding was held June 18 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schuerenberg. Hosts were Joey and Wolffe Bagby, Karen and James Bain, Marilyn and Kenny Barkett, Karen and David Bizzell, Sharon Black, Mary and Steve Borgsmiller, Janice and Phil Boyer, Lisa and Greg Colwick, Mary Lynn and David Crader, Marie and Jake Curtis, Charlotte and Gerald DeWitt, Julie and David Dolan, Judith and David Hahs, Lee Ann and David Hough, Debbie and Alan Keenan, Sally Lape, Terri and Chuck Leible, Melissa and John Leible, Anne and Dan Marshall, Janet and Mike Moll, Alice and Tom Nunnelee, Karen and Gary Silverthorn and Laura and David Tongate. The new Mrs. Marshall is a country music artist, songwriter and producer, and Marshall is the manager and director of artist development for Starstruck Entertainment. A honeymoon is planned this spring.
