Phyllis Parker

SIKESTON -- Phyllis Parker, age 76, passed away on March 10, 2018, at Missouri Delta Medical Center Sikeston.

Born Feb. 4, 1942, in Morehouse, to the late I.B. and Lydia Merriman McNew Sr.

On Nov. 21, 1959, in Bloomfield, she married Linzle Parker who preceded her in death on Nov.19, 1971.

Survivors include: one son, Jimmy Parker and Elishia Baker of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Sydney and Tim Daniels of Matthews; two sisters, Shirley Tate of Dexter and Audry King of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren, Jamie (Dawna) Parker of Jackson, Hayley (Jayme) Milam of Sikeston and Jesse Daniels of Matthews; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Tammy Parker; one brother, I.B. McNew Jr. and one granddaughter, Tiffany Daniels.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 13, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

A private interment will follow immediately after with Mike Cartwright, officiating.

Pallbearers will be: David Vaughn, Corey McNew, Brian Newman, Jesse Daniels, Jamie Parker and Keith Tate.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dwight Vaughn and Charles Hawkins.
