CHAFFEE, Mo. -- James Henry "Jim" Chronister, 81, died Feb. 27, 2018, at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley, Ala.
Born on Oct. 1, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, son of the late Leamon Lee and Louise Campbell Chronister, he retired from marketing with Burlington Northern Railroad in Chaffee. He was a member of Chaffee Masonic Lodge 615, Chaffee Order of Elks 1810 and St. Louis Shriners Moolah Temple. He was in the Naval Reserves.
On Feb. 14, 1970, he married Irmgard Pertl, and she preceded him in death on August 28, 2003. He married Virginia Lee Harris in October 2016, and she survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two stepdaughters, Regina Boone of Jacksonville, Fla., and Macey Harris; a brother, Edward Chronister of Kansas City; and three nephews.
Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where there will be a Shriners service at 6 p.m. immediately followed by an Elks service.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel.
Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
