Deborah Rankin

SCOTT CITY, Mo. - Deborah Ruth Chilton Rankin, 60, died Oct. 5, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Born Sept. 23, 1956, in Cairo, Ill., to the late Walter and Ruth Nicholas Chilton, she was retired from the Division of Family Services and had served in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include: three sisters, Barbara Busby of Florissant, Susan Campbell of Memphis and Margie Washburn of East Prairie; one brother, Richard Chilton of Thailand; and special friends, Brenda Fitzgerald of Sikeston and Debbie Sue Ray of Benton.

Two sisters, Janey Church and Carolyn Martin, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Graveside rites will be at 1:30 p.m. at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Charleston with Martin Lucas officiating.
