SIKESTON -- Nell Lowe, age 78, passed away on Oct. 20, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born May 29, 1938, in Trenton, Tenn., to the late David and Carmen Garner Mason, she had been a teacher at SEMO Christian Academy until her retirement. She was an active member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston.

On June 1, 1962 in Peoria, Ill., she married Don Lowe who preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1998.

Survivors include: one son, Chris Lowe of Sikeston; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda Peterson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Michell and Tim Anglemyer of Dallas and Dewey Heppe of Sikeston; 10 grandchildren, Erin Peterson, Lauren Peterson, Leah Hill, Sara Collins, Rachael Lowe, Scott Lowe, Josh Lowe, Rebecca Heppe, Christian Anglemyer and Lane Anglemyer; and two great-grandchildren, Gunner Denson and Reid Collins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Julie Lowe Heppe.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23 at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24 at Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston with Johnny Hester officiating.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
