EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. - Ruth Elaine Hahn, 92, died Nov. 28, 2016, at her home in East Prairie.

Born May 17, 1924, in Barnes Ridge, to the late Louie Fieldin and Opal Oliver LaPlant, she was one of the original owners of Johnny's Drive-In. She was an active member of the First Church of God in East Prairie.

In 1941, she married Vernon Baker, who preceded her in death in 1968. In 1975, she married M.J. Hahn, who preceded her in death in 1998.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Moran and Opal Hahn Jr. of Charleston; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Brenda and Ernie Bizzell of Statesboro, Ga., Janis and Tony Giltz of Charleston, Alma and Glen Nunn of East Prairie and Delores Hale of Murray, Ky.; one brother, L.F. LaPlant Jr. of East Prairie; and six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angela Mott.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Paul Matte, pastor of the First Church of God, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Todd Bizzell, Brandon Bizzell, Tom Boswell, Zachary Boswell, Blake Boswell and Gil Giltz.
