Pauline McDermott

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Pauline McDermott, 90, of East Prairie, died April 6, 2017, at her son's home in East Prairie.

Born March 28, 1927, in New Madrid County, Mo., to the late Ray and Robbie Frye Brown, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Church of God in East Prairie.

On Sept. 18, 1965, she married Vernon Bud McDermott, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Eugene Frye of East Prairie; one sister, Imogene Acey of Arnold, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jeremy Frye of St. Louis, Mo., Jacob Tripp of East Prairie and Whitney Hutcheson of St. Louis, Mo.; and one great-grandchild, Harper Tripp.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lofton.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at Shelby Funeral Home with Larry Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Tripp, Jeff Johnson, Dicky Chance, David Jackson, Jeremy Frye and Whitney Hutcheson.
