EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. - Malcome Johnston, 74, died May 27, 2017, at his home.
Born Sept. 13, 1942, in New Madrid County, to the late Lexie and Iva McClendon Johnston, he was a retired truck driver and farmer. He was a member of the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie.
On Feb. 1, 1980, in Dyersburg, Tenn., he married Carolyn Bryan, who survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son, Scott Johnston of East Prairie; one daughter, Tammy Johnston of East Prairie; one stepdaughter, Tracy Henry of East Prairie; two brothers, Golda Johnston of Jacksonville, Fla., and Medwick Johnston of East Prairie; one sister, Imogene Gulledge of St. Louis; and six grandchildren, one stepgrandchild and three great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Keith Johnston; three brothers, Loyce Johnston, Bryant Johnston and Denny Johnston; and four sisters, Polly Laramie, Edith Moore, Virginia Johnston and Katheryn Shannon.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie, with Eric McGruder, pastor, and Mike Johnson, officiating.
Interment followed in the Anniston Cemetery under the direction of Shelby Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Corey Johnston, Joey Henry, Tony Henry, Wayne Marcum, Matt Henry and Scotty Riggs.
