'Rusty' St. John

SIKESTON - Edwin R. "Rusty" St. John, 66, died June 25, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was born Oct. 20, 1950, in South Weymouth, Mass., to the late Floyd St. John and Mary Wilson St. John. Rusty was a self-employed carpenter before retiring.

On Oct. 7, 1983, he married Brenda Channell; she survives of the home in Sikeston.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Misti St. John of Sikeston; one stepson and his wife, Joshua and Brandy Swindle of St. Louis; one brother and sister-in-law, Leonard "Sandy" and Elizabeth St. John of Sikeston; one grandchild, Hayden St. John; two stepgrandchildren, Ashton Swindle and Carter Swindle; one niece and her husband, Bel Marie and Steve Day of Washington D.C.; and like a son to him was Tim Jarvis and his wife, Katherine Jarvis, and their children, Alex, Larry and Amber.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 29, from 5 p.m. until time of memorial services at 7 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
