CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Ben M. Adams, 93, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born, Dec. 4, 1923, in Benton to the late Benjamin Franklin and Norma P. Termenstein Adams.

Benjamin and Edith Randol were married on May 7, 1988, in Cape Girardeau.

Ben was a radar repair man in the Air Force, where he received several accommodations for having served from 1943 to 1946. He retired from Thomas W. Kelly School in Benton, where he was superintendent and taught various high school classes, including physics and chemistry. He was an avid golfer and member of the Kimbeland Golf Club in Jackson. He was a member and deacon of Lynwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Edith Adams of Cape Girardeau; niece, Peggy James of Norman, Okla.; wife of deceased nephew, Debbie Porter and family of Marion, Ky.; five stepdaughters, Maxine Abernathy of Oran, Rose Isaacs of Cape Girardeau, Sally Thurlkill of Cape Girardeau, Connie Randol of Osgood, Ind., and Sherri Summers of Osgood, Ind., and numerous stepgrandchildren, great-stepgrandchildren, and great-great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, David Porter.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating.

Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
