Betty Joe Pullen
SIKESTON -- Betty Joe Pullen, 68, died Oct. 18, 2017, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born May 15, 1949, in Sikeston, to the late Aldine and Walter Watson, she was employed by Hab Care and Alternative Opportunities for many years where she was a community support worker, providing countless hours of special care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
She was a member of Jubilee House of Prayer and was a mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt, friend, cook, caretaker and card player.
In 1983 she married Theodore "Ted" Pullen who survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Sonya Watson of Doublasville, Ga. and Chiquita Pullen of Homestead, Fla.; two sons, Larron Watson of Lithonia, Ga. and Rayburn Pullen of Sikeston; three sisters, Sarah Parker of Newport, Ark., Priscilla Watson of Peoria, Ill. and Jean Handy of New York; one brother, Walter Watson Jr. of Peoria, Ill.; one aunt, Ernestine Edith of Cleveland, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents who raised her, Elsie and Robert Stokes.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston.
