CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Joe Nathan Treadwell Sr., 56, died Oct. 29, 2017, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 19, 1961, in Wyatt, son of Vernice Ivy of Charleston, he attended school in Chicago and Charleston and was a 1979 graduate of Charleston High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army where he received an honorable discharge on March 2, 1982, and then was employed as a general laborer and painter for Ivy's Plastering and Stucco Company.
In addition to his mother, survivors include: two sons and two daughters-in-law, JaShawn (Lashonika) Bolden of San Antonio, Texas, and Joe Nathan (Amber) Treadwell Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, TeQuita Culbreath and Alisha Culbreath of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Javonna Treadwell of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Mitchell Treadwell of Charleston; three sisters, Hattie Brown of Charleston, Ader Jackson of Dallas and Michelle Coleman of Sikeston; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Monday at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Wyatt.
Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military rites.
Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
