CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Julian W. "Wayne" Browning, 55, died Jan. 6, 2018, at his home.

Born June 6, 1962, in Charleston, son of the late Frank Browning Jr. and Laura Louise Clemon Browning. he was raised in Chicago and moved back to Charlesto in 1990. He was a member of Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church and employed by Gates Rubber Company in Charleston until it closed in 2013. He also worked at Nestle Purina in Bloomfield, Cott Beverages in Sikeston and Havco in Scott City.

In 1993, he married Aretha Lisa Green, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: three daughters, Tamara (Punkin) Brown of Chicago, Shakayla Browning and Timara Browning of Charleston; three brothers, Charles Anthony Browning of Atlanta and Keith Browning and Tracy Browning of Charleston; one sister, Jacqueline Wallace of Chicago; and three grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Jamaal Stanciel; and three brothers, his twin Julius Browning, Frank Browning Jr. and Kelvin Browning.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat MB Church in Charleston, where services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday with Arthur Cassell , pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston in charge of arrangements.
