All-District singers

On Sept. 24, 35 Sikeston High School students auditioned against more than 500 other Southeast Missouri students for the All-District Choir auditions. Students sang a prepared solo then sang two pieces they had never sung before. The students have practiced daily since the beginning of school for the event with 12 students qualify for All-District Choir. The six juniors and seniors are eligible to compete for a place in the Missouri All-State Choir. Named to the All-District choir were: freshman Alex Watson, tenor; sophomores, Ella Crader, soprano; Trinity Hill, soprano; Lilly Powell, alto; Taylor Graham, alto, and Dalton Duncan, bass; juniors, Abby Arndt, soprano, Desiree Hicks, alto, Timothy McHaffie, tenor, and Zach Watkins, bass; and seniors Malik Barnett, bass, and Nicholas Pratt, bass.
